‘Against the Tide: Maintaining our Orthodoxy in Challenging Times’

With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion, the forty-seventh annual Russian Orthodox Youth Conference will be held at the Australis Retreat at Wisemans, just north of Sydney.

The conference will begin in the late afternoon on Tuesday December 27 and finish on the morning of Saturday December 31.  Attendance will be strictly limited to those over 18 years of age.

The conference will include:

• three full days and four nights in superior accommodation on the banks of the beautiful Hawkesbury River
• a structured program of lectures and small group discussions to equip us for the challenges that we face as Russian Orthodox Christians in Australia in the twenty-first century.
• an opportunity to confess and prepare for Holy Communion at the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on the feast of the Holy Prophet Daniel
• delicious Lenten meals prepared in the resort restaurant by award-winning chefs
• an important opportunity for young Orthodox Christians to learn, develop friendships, and to meet with clergy from across the Diocese
• ample time for relaxation, social activities and informal discussion
